12/30/2012 - Oklahoma wide receiver Jalen Saunders will play in the AT&T Cotton Bowl against Texas A&M despite being arrested earlier this month, coach Bob Stoops announced Friday. Stoops, however, said senior defensive tackle Stacy McGee will be suspended in his final game and will not travel with the team after being arrested this week. In a statement released through the university, Stoops said the "information and history in each of the individual matters are unique," leading to the different consequences.

Saunders and teammate Cortez Johnson were arrested Dec. 2 on complaints of misdemeanor marijuana possession during a traffic stop in Norman, just a few hours after the Sooners defeated TCU to end the regular season.

McGee, meanwhile, was booked into the Cleveland County Jail about 1:15 a.m. Monday on a complaint of driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license. McGee also was suspended Oklahoma's first six games after violating undisclosed university rules during the preseason. - Jake Trotter, SoonerNation

12/28/2012 - Oklahoma defensive tackle Stacy McGee has been suspended for the Cotton Bowl game against Texas A&M, but wide receiver Jalen Saunders has been cleared to participate in the game, Oklahoma announced Friday. Saunders, a transfer from Fresno State, played in the final eight games of the regular season, and his 53 catches and 766 receiving yards led the team over that eight-game stretch. He was one of two Sooner players arrested on marijuana possession charges in December.

McGee was suspended for the first six games this season for a violation of team rules and was arrested and charged in December with driving under the influence. He started 17 games over the previous three seasons, but had not made any starts this year. - The Sports Xchange

10/23/2012 - Oklahoma will have the services of a previously suspended defensive tackle for Saturday's clash with Notre Dame. Senior Stacy McGee was reinstated to the team Monday after violating team rules during the summer, coach Bob Stopps announced. McGee, a 6-foot-4, 299-pounder has made 14 career start, including 11 as a sophomore and three as a junior. McGee will play for the first time this season. He has worked with the scout team during practice. Senior defensive end David King has moved inside to help fill in on the defensive line during McGee's absence. - The Sports Xchange

10/22/2012 - Suspended defensive tackle Stacy McGee has been reinstated and should play for No. 8 Oklahoma on Saturday night against No. 5 Notre Dame. McGee had been held out for the first six games of the season, but coach Bob Stoops said Monday he'd be allowed to play against the Fighting Irish (7-0). Stoops says McGee has been practicing with the scout team during his suspension and there's no reason he wouldn't be ready to play Saturday night. McGee played in 12 games for the Sooners (5-1) last season and started three times. - AP Sports

10/16/2012 - DT Stacy McGee was suspended indefinitely for a violation of university policy according to coach Bob Stoops. The senior has started 17 games over the past 3 seasons. He started 3 games last season and had 22 tackles and 1.5 sacks. DE David King will be filling in for McGee. - College Injury Report

09/02/2012 - DT Stacy McGee was also suspended for the UTEP game. It is presumed that he will be back Saturday for Florida A&M in Norman.
