08/13/2011 - AREAS OF CONCERN: The middle of the defense is shaky as defensive coordinator Jeff Casteel has to replace all-Big East NG Chris Neild and MLBs Anthony Leonard and Pat Lazear. The men expected to lessen the loss, MLB Branko Busick and NG Jorge Wright, both were arrested on gun charges, Busick dismissed from the team and Wright suspended, compiling that problem. The next biggest area of concern is the offensive line, which did not perform well and now much so without senior starter LG Josh Jenkins, injured in the spring game and out for the year after surgery to stabilize kneecap. Jeff Braun moves from RT to LG to fill Jenkins spot and huge Quinton Spain, 330 pounds, moves in at right tackle. WVU has only two scholarship quarterbacks, one a true a freshman, so they must find a way to keep them healthy. - The Sports Xchange

07/13/2011 - West Virginia left guard Josh Jenkins will miss this season after undergoing surgery on his left knee. Jenkins was injured in West Virginia's spring game April 29 and had surgery July 5. Trainer David Kerns said Wednesday that Jenkins' medial collateral ligament healed properly, but surgery was needed to stabilize the knee. Kerns says Jenkins is eligible for a medical hardship waiver and should return for his senior season in 2012. Jenkins has 24 career starts. He injured his right knee last season, underwent arthroscopic surgery and missed two games. - AP Sports

09/27/2010 - Starting LG Josh Jenkins missed the LSU game after undergoing an arthroscopic procedure on his right knee early in the week. His availability for the UNLV game on Oct. 9 is unknown.

09/24/2010 - OG Josh Jenkins had a minor arthroscopic procedure done his right knee after being injured before halftime in the Maryland game. His availability for the LSU is in question.
