03/14/2012 - Oklahoma Pro Day: A few under-the-radar players of note also performed well, including offensive lineman Stephen Good who posted 34 reps of 225-pounds on the bench. Perhaps the most head-turning numbers from Oklahoma's Pro Day came during Jarvis Jones' weigh-in where he showed off his 36 ??" arm length and 87" wingspan. The rest of his numbers weren't as impressive, including a 8.49 3-cone drill and only 18 reps on the bench, but his natural size and length will attract attention. Wide Receiver Ryan Broyles, who suffered a serious knee injury last fall, did not work out today, but was present and said his rehab was going well. The NCAA career leader in receptions has yet to reveal when he will work out prior to the draft. Since the Bob Stoops era began, Norman has been a regular stop for pro scouts with over 50 NFL draft picks from Oklahoma since 1999. While it's not an overly strong year for Oklahoma prospects (unlike two years ago when three Sooners were drafted in the top four picks of the draft), the Sooners should surpass last year's number of four draftees. - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com

08/09/2011 - Oklahoma expects senior offensive tackle Jarvis Jones to return from a knee injury in time to play in the Red River Rivalry game against Texas in October. Assistant coach Bruce Kittle said Monday that Jones' rehab from his surgery in March has been going well and his range of motion is already better than expected. Jones tore the patella tendon in his right knee during spring practice and had surgery to repair it. He played in all 13 games for Oklahoma last season, with three of his four starts coming at left tackle. The timeline for Jones' return would still keep him out of the Sooners' first few games this season. Oklahoma plays its opener Sept. 3 against Tulsa and would play four games before facing Texas on Oct. 8. - AP Sports

03/27/2011 - Oklahoma offensive tackle Jarvis Jones has undergone surgery to repair a knee injury he sustained in practice. Officials said Saturday that Jones had an operation to repair a torn right patella tendon and could be out for six months. The injury occurred during practice on Friday. The senior from Richmond, Texas, was atop the Sooners' depth chart at right tackle as spring drills began. He played in all 13 games last season with four starts, three at left tackle. OU Head Coach Bob Stoops said the team was not in full contact drills when the injury occurred. Stoops says Jones could be back in late September or early October. - AP Sports
