03/16/2013 - 2013 Oklahoma State Pro Day: Quinn Sharp states case to be rare kicker drafted...Representatives from 21 NFL teams gathered at the pro day held at Oklahoma State on March 12, where 16 players went through a workout held outdoors on FieldTurf in 45-degree temperatures.

Quinn Sharp, K (6-1, 189) - Sharp displayed a strong leg during an up-and-down pro day performance. He was booting his kickoffs into the end zone, but missed some field goals during his workout (he was 1-for-2 from 55 yards out). He did, however, cap it off with a 60-yarder. Sharp is the second-rated kicker in the 2013 NFL Draft. While three kickers were selected in the 2012 NFL Draft, only three had been selected in the three drafts prior. - Gil Brandt, NFL.com

The 51-yarder was the longest of his career, bettering his previous long of 46 yards. 08/15/2012 - Quinn Sharp has always had big cleats to fill at Oklahoma State. As a redshirt freshman, he took over for punter Matt Fodge, who won the 2008 Ray Guy Award. Two years later, he added placekicking to his duties, replacing 2010 Lou Groza Award winner Dan Bailey. Now, Sharp's biggest test awaits: following up his stellar 2011 season. "I didn't expect to have the year I had last year," he said after Tuesday's practice. "I wanted that year and I had goals set for myself. But I did really well and I was very happy with that. "It was really good to get all those field goals under my belt and get the experience and learning situations." Sharp's goals for his senior year are clear-cut. "I want to be in the top three for both the Groza and the Ray Guy awards," Sharp said. "... This year, if I get the opportunity, then an award would be much-appreciated. "But if not, I want to just go out there to help the team as much as possible." - Kelly Hines, Tulsa World

07/11/2012 - 2012 RAY GUY AWARD PRESEASON WATCH LIST: Quinn Sharp (Sr.), Oklahoma State, has been selected to the preseason watch list for the 2012 Ray Guy Award, which honors the nation's top collegiate punter. A first-team All-America punter in 2010, Sharp's Ray Guy Award chances each of the last two seasons have been hampered by Oklahoma State's powerful offense, as he has not attempted enough punts to qualify for the NCAA statistics on weeks when the award named its semifinalists and finalists. The reigning Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Year and the only player in conference history to be named All-Big 12 first team kicker and punter in the same season, Sharp led the Big 12 and ranked third nationally with a single-season school-record 46.3 yards-per-punt average in 2011. His career average of 45.78 yards per punt is also an Oklahoma State school record and leads all active players in the nation.
