07/22/2012 - 2012 PRESEASON ALL-BIG 12 FOOTBALL TEAM (MEDIA): OL Lane Taylor, Oklahoma State, Sr/3L,...Taylor has been a regular contributor to the high-powered Cowboy offense the past three years and he easily leads all returning OSU players with 36 career starts. He has been overshadowed in recent years by his fellow Cowboy offensive linemen, as he manned the OSU front alongside 2009 Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year Russell Okung, 2011 Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year Grant Garner and consensus All-American Levy Adcock. With Taylor helping lead the way, Oklahoma State ranked third nationally in scoring offense in 2010 and improved to second nationally in scoring offense in 2011. - Oklahoma State

07/20/2012 - 2012 ROTARY LOMBARDI AWARD PRESEASON WATCH LIST: Lane Taylor, G, Oklahoma State, has been selected to the Preseason Rotary Lombardi Award Watch List for the 2012 college football season, presented the nation's top college lineman or linebacker each year by The Rotary Club of Houston. With Taylor helping lead the way, Oklahoma State ranked third nationally in scoring offense in 2010 and improved to second nationally in scoring offense in 2011. Taylor has been a key figure on an OSU offensive line that paved the way for a Cowboy attack that ranked third nationally in total offense in both 2010 and 2011. OSU has ranked among the top 11 teams in the nation in fewest sacks allowed with Taylor protecting the quarterback. Taylor graded out at 98 percent in two games last year and did not allow a sack. 07/11/2012 - Top-five Oklahoma State prospects for the 2013 NFL Draft: 5. OG Lane Taylor (6-3, 330)...Although he was a minor blip on the recruiting radar, Oklahoma State took a chance on Taylor and its paying dividends as he enters the 2012 season as one of the top offensive linemen in the conference. He is one of the most experienced members of the Cowboys' roster with 36 career starts. After redshirting in 2008, he went from being buried on the depth chart to starting at right guard because of injury as a freshman in 2009 (11 starts), earning All-Conference honors. Taylor has started every game (but one) the past two seasons at right guard (25 starts) and has a legitimate argument to be the top returning guard in the Big 12 this season. After spending a lot of time in the weight room, he has done a nice job putting on weight and maxing out his frame, adding over 30 pounds since his freshman season. Taylor isn't the most mobile blocker, but he stays coordinated in his stance and works well in small areas. With the Cowboys having to replace three starting offensive linemen from last season, Taylor's leadership and experience will be key for Oklahoma State's offensive success in 2012. - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com
