Most of CMU's problems came on third downs, with CMU's opponents converting better than 45 percent of the time. Third-year coach Dan Enos stressed stopping teams on third downs. The Chippewas allowed too many big plays over the last two years. The CMU secondary, led by All-Conference S Jahleel Addae, is the strength of the defense. The front four is a potential trouble area without significant depth. Joe Kinville leads the group after recording five and a half sacks last year. - The Sports Xchange
