12/12/2013 - 2013 LOU GROZA AWARD FINALIST (TOP PLACE KICKER): Anthony Fera, Texas...Fera, a senior from Cypress, Texas, is putting together the best season in Longhorns history. Having made 17 of his 18 field goals, Fera's conversion rate of 94.4% would go down as the most accurate in the 121 years of Texas football. The mark stands as the third-highest in the nation and the best among kickers with 18 attempts and a 50 yard conversion. After missing his fifth attempt of the year, Fera has converted his last 13 field goals, the third-longest active streak in FBS. He is 38-of-39 on extra point conversions, with his only miss blocked. - Lou Groza Award

Fera's two field goals extended his streak to a school-record 15 straight, tying a mark set 16 years ago by Longhorn Pro Bowl kicker Phil Dawson. He also dropped three of his five punts inside the 20-yard line, increasing his season total to 26-of-59 (44.1% /11th-best nationally) punts downed inside the 20 on the year.

Fera's first field goal, a 37-yarder midway through the first quarter, pulled Texas within four at 7-3. His second kick, from 49-yards out, extended the Horns' lead to 13-7. Fera is now 13-of-13 on field goals when the game is within seven points and 5-of-5 in three-point games this season. He is 19-of-20 (95%) on field goals overall in 2013, on pace for the most accurate season in UT history. - Big 12 football

10/03/2013 - Scouting the special teams: This could be a difference-maker for the Longhorns, given how good Kendall Sanders has been on the return team. Anthony Fera continues to get the job done at kicker. - The Sports Xchange

09/06/2013 - Scouting the Texas special teams: The Texas punt return unit had better be ready to play, as BYU's J.D. Falsey is one of the top return men in the country. The Longhorns Anthony Fera is still looking for his first field goal attempt this season, but was a perfect 8-for-8 on extra points in the opener. - The Sports Xchange
