10/18/2010 - GAME BALL GOES TO: Safety Jim Noel - Making his first college start because of a suspension to starter Dominick LeGrande, the sophomore intercepted two passes, returned one for a touchdown, broke up another pass and was second on his team with 10 tackles. "Coach (Frank Spaziani) is always talking about seeing the quarterback, and I saw the quarterback the whole way. And once I saw him throw it, I broke for it," Noel said of his 43-yard pick six. "I was looking touchdown all the way. Once you get the ball in your hands, you've got to think touchdown. Ponder was just looking at the receiver the whole way." - The Sports Xchange

10/18/2010 - LOOKING GOOD: The BC defense played a strong game before a 42-yard end-around trick play gave Florida State the win. FSU gained just 311 yards in the game. Quarterback Chase Rettig, playing his first full game as a college player, showed some signs of success in a 9-for-24 game. The kid, still playing on a bum ankle, showed poise. Safety Jim Noel, in his first college start, had a pair of interceptions, ran one back for a touchdown and was also in on 10 tackles. Noel actually found out the previous Sunday he would be making his first college start, but the one-game suspension of Dominick LeGrande wasn't announced until the day of the game. - The Sports Xchange
