12/31/2012 - Scouting the North Carolina State pass defense: This was supposed to be the team's strength and it still shows signs of being something to boast about. There just have been too many blatant breakdowns at crucial junctures to overlook. The team has been hit with big gainers by opponents far too often to escape scrutiny. Yet there are parts that make this group noteworthy, with record-setting CB David Amerson, who set the ACC's single-season record for interceptions last team, and S Earl Wolff, an All-ACC first-team selection. S Brandan Bishop is a solid player against the run and in pass defense and offers a steady influence on the secondary. - The Sports Xchange

12/31/2012 - PLAYERS TO WATCH: Safety Brandan Bishop ranks tied for fourth in career interceptions on N.C. State's charts with 12 pickoffs. He's four behind the next players on that list, so probably the best he can hope for is to move up one rung and hold fourth place all to himself if he can snatch an interception against Vanderbilt. - The Sports Xchange

12/12/2012 - 2012 COACHES ALL-ACC FOOTBALL SECOND TEAM: S-Brandan Bishop, NC State, 6-2, 205, Sr., Boca Raton, Fla. (7), has been selected Second Team All-Atlantic Coast Conference (Coaches selection) for the 2012 college football season. This year, for the first time under the auspices of the ACC, the league's 12 head football coaches voted for an All-ACC football team. - NC State football

12/02/2012 - 2012 ALL-ACC HONORABLE MENTION (MEDIA): Brandan Bishop (North Carolina State), safety (20)...has been named Honorable Mention All-Atlantic Coast Conference for the 2012 college football season by the ACC Media Association. - NC State football

06/20/2012 - Top-five NC State prospects for the 2013 NFL Draft: 4. FS Brandan Bishop (6-2, 205)...While Amerson stole most of the headlines from the Wolfpack secondary, Bishop finished third in the ACC with five interceptions as the two defensive backs combined for the most combined pick-offs of any teammate tandem in the nation. He has 37 career starts under his belt and is the most experienced member of the Wolfpack defense. Bishop, who was a three-star recruit out of Florida, started 20 games as a freshman and sophomore, totaling 105 tackles over his first two seasons. He started every game last season as a junior, finishing third on the team with 89 tackles and 3.5 tackles for loss. Bishop is a smart, disciplined defender who uses his cover awareness to put himself in the right spot at the right time. He isn't the most explosive athlete and shows some obvious stiffness, but he makes up for his lack of speed with his heady instincts and anticipation. - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com
