03/15/2013 - 2013 Oregon Pro Day: Clay was not invited to the combine in large part due to his lack of height. The 5-11 (and 3/8), 230-pounder has excellent instincts and showed at least enough athleticism to warrant late-round consideration by clocking in the mid to high 4.7s in the 40-yard dash and showing great fluidity during positional drills.

Among the teams present at the workout were the Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos, Jacksonville Jaguars, Kansas City Chiefs, Minnesota Vikings, New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints, Oakland Raiders, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Diego Chargers, Seattle Seahawks and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com

09/24/2012 - WEEK 4 NCAA NATIONAL FBS DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Oregon shut out Arizona for the first time since 1964, stopping what looked to be a potent offense as the Ducks cruised to the 49-0 victory. Michael Clay played a huge role in the blanking as he piled up 13 tackles, including 10 solo stops. Clay also added a pair of tackles for loss including a sack and forced a fumble. He wasn't alone, however, as Ifo Ekpre-Olomu deserves recognition as well as he picked up two of the Ducks' four interceptions and returned one 54 yards for a touchdown. - NCAA.com

09/24/2012 - WEEK 4 PAC-12 DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Oregon LB Jordan Clay, a senior from San Jose, Calif., posted 13 total tackles (10 solo), including two tackles for loss and a sack, and forced a fumble in a 49-0 victory over No. 22 Arizona. He was instrumental in limiting a potent Arizona offense to just 332 yards of total offense (the Wildcats had averaged 604.7 yards of total offense in their three previous games) and just 89 yards on the ground as the Ducks notched their first shutout since 2003. Also nominated on defense were defensive back Chris Young of Arizona State, defensive ends Scott Crichton of Oregon State and Morgan Breslin of USC and linebackers Jon Major of Colorado and Anthony Barr of UCLA. - Pac-12 football
