He had a 30-inch vertical jump and a 9-foot broad jump. He did the short shuttle in 4.26 seconds and the three-cone drill in 6.90 seconds. Clancy did not do the bench press due to a fractured right forearm suffered at the Texas vs. The Nation all-star game. 12/12/2012 - 2012 COACHES ALL-ACC FOOTBALL FIRST TEAM: LB-Nick Clancy, Boston College, 6-3, 232, Sr., Plainfield, Ill. (18), has been selected First Team All-Atlantic Coast Conference (Coaches selection) for the 2012 college football season. This year, for the first time under the auspices of the ACC, the league's 12 head football coaches voted for an All-ACC football team.

Clancy, a 6-foot-3, 232-pound senior, played in all 12 games and finished the season ranked third among all tacklers in the nation in tackles (145) and tackles per game (12.1). Additionally, he recorded 4.0 tackles for loss, 10 pass breakups, one forced fumble and one blocked kick. The Plainfield, Ill., native registered at least 10 tackles in a game eight times this season, recording 20 (or more) tackles in a game twice - the only two times this season an ACC defender recorded 20 tackles in a game.

Clancy recorded a career-high 24 tackles (14 solo, 10 assisted) at Northwestern on Sept. 15 and registered a game-high 20 tackles (17 solo and three assisted) in the Eagles' 30-23 overtime loss against Virginia Tech in the regular-season finale on Nov.17. - Boston College football

11/19/2012 - WEEK 12 ACC LINEBACKER OF THE WEEK: Nick Clancy, Boston College, Senior, LB, 6-3, 232, Plainfield, Ill.,...Clancy led Boston College's defense with a game-high 20 tackles (17 solo and three assisted), including 2.5 tackles for loss and two pass breakups in the Eagles' 30-23 overtime loss against Virginia Tech in his final game at Alumni Stadium. Clancy's performance marked the second time this season an ACC defender recorded at least 20 tackles. Clancy, the league's leading tackler with 127 tackles through 11 games, owns both performances, having previously recorded a career-high 24 tackles (14 solo, 10 assisted) at Northwestern on Sept. 15. Registered a career-high 24 tackles - 14 solo and 10 assisted tackles - in Boston College's 22-13 loss at Northwestern, marking the second-most tackles in one game in school history and the highest single-game tackle total since Frank Chamberlain matched the school record with a 25-tackle performance against Syracuse in 1999. Chamberlain shares the school record with Stephen Boyd, who tallied 25 tackles against Virginia Tech in 1994, and Tom McManus, who recorded 25 tackles against Rutgers in 1991.
