04/30/2012 - Coach Greg Schiano knows the Big East and never beat West Virginia during his 11 seasons as the head coach at Rutgers. So it's no surprise he used his familiarity with opposing players to his advantage in the draft Saturday. But talk about a small world. The Bucs took Mountaineers linebacker Najee Goode in the fifth round when the draft resumed Saturday. About an hour later, they took his roommate, West Virginia cornerback Keith Tandy, in the sixth round. "We started texting earlier today about how nerve-wracking it was and how we couldn't be still and every time we get a text message, we think it's a team calling," Tandy said. "After he got drafted, I congratulated him. Then after I got drafted, he called me while I was on the phone with coach Schiano." - The Sports Xchange

04/30/2012 - A closer look at the Buccaneers' picks: Round 6/174 - Keith Tandy, CB, 5-10, 200, West Virginia...A roommate of Goode's at West Virginia, Tandy had a knack for making big plays and is good in zone coverage reading the eyes of quarterbacks. - The Sports Xchange

01/04/2012 - Scouting the West Virginia pass defense: WVU lived off the pass rush of DE Bruce Irvin, who found himself a marked man after having 14 sacks a year ago, and Julian Miller, who was injured for much of the year, playing with a high ankle sprain that slowed him. Irvin had 7.5 sacks this year and Miller had six. WVU also does a lot of blitzing, the rarely used 3-3-5 defense allowing them to come from almost anywhere with linebackers, safeties and occasionally cornerbacks. All-Big East CB Keith Tandy is the best defender, but the other corner, Brodrick Jenkins, came on late in the year, took Pat Miller's starting job and played. Miller, challenged by the demotion and used in the third-down package, had a huge interception return for a touchdown in the final regular-season game against South Florida. - The Sports Xchange

12/19/2011 - 2011 ALL-BIG EAST CONFERENCE FIRST TEAM (COACHES): CB Keith Tandy, West Virginia, Sr., has been selected All-BIG EAST Conference First Team for the 2011 college football season as chosen by the league's eight head coaches. - West Virginia football

10/05/2011 - PLAYERS TO WATCH: CB Keith Tandy had his second career two-interception game and narrowly missed a third against Bowling Green. He has 11 in his career and is tied for ninth place all-time at the school. - The Sports Xchange

09/08/2011 - SCOUTING THE DEFENSE: The defense, considering seven starters were replaced, played better than anyone expected, giving up only two field goals and no touchdowns. It still has not been tested by a veteran quarterback who can throw, however. MLB Najee Goode emerged as a force in the middle and DE Bruce Irvin showed he's still going to be a factor in the pass rush. All-Big East CB Keith Tandy was beaten a couple of times but Marshall hit only one of the passes. - The Sports Xchange

09/04/2011 - PLAYERS TO WATCH: CB Keith Tandy - What Smith is to the offense Tandy is to the defense. An intelligent, All-Big East performer a year ago, Tandy moves from the right side of the defense to the left side to take the spot Brandon Hogan held last year. He led the conference a year ago with six interceptions and it's expected that offenses won't test him much this season. - The Sports Xchange

08/13/2011 - A year ago, with Brandon Hogan at left corner, Keith Tandy was on the right side and led the Big East in interceptions. This year he moves to the other side and is considered one of the potential stars in the conference. QUOTE TO NOTE: "People come to West Virginia to win championships." All-Big East senior CB Keith Tandy at the conference's Media Day. - The Sports Xchange
