One of the most accomplished punters in school history, Kontodiakos broke Colorado State's single-season record for punting average in 2012 with a 46.5-yard average on a career-high 59 punts. He booted 19 of his punts 50 or more yards, and placed a career-high 19 punts inside the 20-yard line.

Kontodiakos was named Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Week against Hawaii on Oct. 27 for setting a conference record with an average of 61.8 on four punts. He posted the three longest punts in the Mountain West this season (73, 72 and 72 yards) and ranked fourth in the nation in punting average. - Colorado State football

He averaged 38.7 net yards per punt and also recorded a 43.6 gross average which was in the top 20 in the nation. He also blasted 20 of his 57 punts for 50 or more yards, while pinning opponents inside their own 20 on 13 occasions. He became only the fourth punter in CSU history to earn back-to-back all-MW honors. - Colorado State football

In 2011 Kontodiakos, a 6-foot-3, 224-pound senior from Tarpon Springs, Fla., averaged a career best 38.7 net yards per punt and also recorded a 43.6 gross average which was in the top 20 in the nation. He also blasted 20 of his 57 punts for 50 or more yards, while pinning opponents inside their own 20 on 13 occasions. He became only the fourth punter in CSU history to earn back-to-back all-MW honors. The Ray Guy Award watch list only has 25 candidates and Kontodiakos is the only punter from the Mountain West. - Colorado State football
