03/15/2012 - Cal Pro Day: In a mild upset, D.J. Campbell proved the better athlete to his more celebrated partner in the Cal deep patrol, Sean Cattouse. The 6-0, 202 pound Campbell's athleticism is apparent on game tape but it was Cattouse who was invited to the Combine and not Campbell. Cattouse, who was officially clocked at 4.74 seconds in Indianapolis, dropped about a tenth of a second (4.68, 4.61) on Thursday. He also registered a 35" vertical and a 10-5" broad jump. - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com

09/23/2011 - SCOUTING THE DEFENSE: The Bears' defense continues to be puzzling. Outstanding at home and mediocre on the road, Cal's defense ranks 21st nationally in total defense and ninth in run defense, largely because it has recorded so many sacks (11). But the Bears' pass defense was not good against Colorado in its only road game, yielding more than 400 yards in the air without a sack. Cal CBs Marc Anthony and Steve Williams have been OK, but not great. S Sean Cattouse and ILB D.J. Holt have been the standouts so far, although ILB Mychal Kendricks is the player capable of turning the game around with a big play. PLAYERS TO WATCH: S Sean Cattouse - He had two interceptions against Presbyterian, and he is capable of making another against Washington. He is probably Cal's most reliable defensive player. - The Sports Xchange

09/23/2011 - Safety Sean Cattouse had two first-half interceptions in week 3, giving him seven for his career, the most of any active Cal player. - The Sports Xchange

09/09/2011 - PLAYERS TO WATCH: FS Sean Cattouse was a virtual non-factor in the opener, because Fresno State seldom got into the Cal secondary. He may get a few chances this week, and he is capable of making big plays. - The Sports Xchange

06/03/2011 - STARS OF 2011: FS Sean Cattouse - Injuries set him back at the beginning of the 2010 season, but he reclaimed a starting spot at midseason and has a knack for making big plays. He had 59 tackles in 2010, including 15 against Stanford. - The Sports Xchange
