03/16/2013 - 2013 Florida International Pro Day: Twenty-five teams were represented at Florida International on March 8, including the Miami Dolphins defensive back coach, to watch 19 FIU and 11 small-school players perform drills outdoors on a grass field. Tourek Williams, DL (6-3 1/8; 253 pounds) - Williams had already worked out at NFL Scouting Combine. At FIU's pro day he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.71 and 4.76 seconds. He performed a 4.46-second short shuttle and a 7.44-second three-cone drill. He declined to do the vertical jump or broad jump. While he did pro day drills as a defensive end and linebacker, "the feeling was he's a better defensive end in the NFL," NFL.com's Gil Brandt said. - Gil Brandt, NFL.com

12/14/2012 - 2012 ALL-SUN BELT CONFERENCE FIRST TEAM (COACHES & MEDIA): Tourek Williams (FIU, Sr., DL), has been selected First Team All-Sun Belt Conference (Coaches & Media selection) for the 2012 college football season. This is the third-straight all-conference honor for Williams and the first, first-team selection after being named second-team his sophomore and junior seasons. Perhaps one of the top defensive ends to ever play at FIU, Williams had another spectacular season for the Panthers in 2012. Williams projects to be a premium all-star game selection and prime NFL draft prospect. He started every game during the 2012 campaign, as well as the last three seasons (2010-12), and has the most career starts ever by a defensive lineman at FIU (39).

Williams led the team in 2012 with 14.5 tackles for loss (for 85 yards), 6.5 sacks (for 56 yards) and two forced fumbles, going along with a career-high 46 total tackles (including 29 solo), two pass break-ups and three quarterback hurries. - FIU football

10/04/2012 - SCOUTING THE DEFENSE: The defense has been a big disappointment. The Ragin' Cajuns shredded it for 501 yards in total offense just a week after the Panthers had held Louisville to 323. The Panthers have only three sacks and five interceptions in surrendering nearly 277 yards a game through the air. They have shown themselves to be susceptible to the big play in giving up 15 touchdown passes. - The Sports Xchange

07/21/2012 - 2012 PRESEASON ALL-SUN BELT TEAM (COACHES/SELECT MEDIA): Tourek Williams (FIU, Sr., DL)...Williams, a two-time All-Sun Belt Second-Team pick following his sophomore and junior seasons, has also been listed as a unanimous preseason All-Sun Belt First-Team selection by Athlon's, Blue Ribbon, Lindy's and Phil Steele this offseason. In addition, Lindy's rates him the No. 1 NFL talent in the Sun Belt as well as its Preseason Defensive Player of the Year for the league. At FIU, he leads all returning defensive linemen with 26 career starts and is positioned to finish his career among the school's all-time leaders for sacks, sack yardage, tackles for loss and tackles for loss yardage. - FIU football

Hilton (2011 Preseason Co-Offensive Player of the Year).
