04/21/2013 - Spencer Ware catches on at workout...LSU running back Spencer Ware worked out on campus on Friday, April 29. Ware ran indoors and on FieldTurf, and wasn't measured at the workout. He did weigh in at 229 pounds, though. As for his numbers, he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.62 and 4.63 seconds. He posted a 34 inch vertical leap and a 10-foot-1/2 inch broad jump. In the short shuttle drill, he clocked in at 4.35 seconds, and completed the three-cone drill in 7.07 seconds. He opted not to lift, as he already had at LSU's pro day. Ware had a good workout on the day, and caught the ball exceptionally well. - Gil Brandt, NFL.com

03/29/2013 - 2013 LSU Pro Day: Spencer Ware, RB (5-10 3/8, 222) - Ware didn't run the 40-yard dash because of a sore left hamstring. He did perform a 35 1/2-inch vertical jump, a 9-foot-11 broad jump, a 4.27-second short shuttle, a 7.28-second three-cone drill and 17 reps of 225 pounds on the bench. - Gil Brandt, NFL.com

01/04/2013 - LSU announced on Friday afternoon that punter Brad Wing and running back Spencer Ware have officially declared for the 2013 NFL Draft. The count is now at six LSU underclassmen who have declared thus far with the decisions of Barkevious Mingo, Sam Montgomery and others still looming.

After leading the team in rushing in 2011, Ware finished second on the team in carries (91) this season, but just fourth in rushing yards (358), averaging 3.9 yards per rush attempt. With a crowded running back depth chart, LSU used more of a RB-by-committee approach in 2012 as Ware had just two games with double-digit carries. - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com

12/31/2012 - Scouting the LSU running game: The LSU offense is built around its running game and stable of halfbacks, but as the passing game improved late in the season, the running game became less consistent. Freshman Jeremy Hill has emerged as the starter, but Spencer Ware provides a power option and Michael Ford a speed option. The Tigers have given the ball to FB J.C. Copeland on occasion to try and keep defenses honest, but he remains essentially a blocker. - The Sports Xchange

09/08/2012 - RB Spencer Ware was held out of the opener after missing most of preseason camp because of an undisclosed muscle strain. He's probable for week 2. - The Sports Xchange

07/21/2012 - 2012 PRESEASON ALL-SEC THIRD TEAM (COACHES): RB - Spencer Ware, LSU, has been selected third team All-SEC for the 2012 college football season as selected by the SEC head coaches. - LSU football

07/21/2012 - 2012 PRESEASON ALL-SEC THIRD TEAM (MEDIA): RB Spencer Ware (14), LSU, Jr., has been selected third team All-SEC for the 2012 college football season as selected by the SEC media. - LSU football
