11/21/2013 - WEEK 12 NCAA NATIONAL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Robert Nelson sealed Saturday's win with another big play in the fourth quarter. Nelson returned his second interception 23 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter and No. 21 Arizona State maintained control of the Pac-12 South. Nelson has an interception in four of the last five games and has five in that span overall including two this week against Oregon State. He collected ASU's third pick-six of the season. - NCAA.com

11/21/2013 - WEEK 12 PAC-12 DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Arizona State cornerback Robert Nelson, a senior from Lakeland, Fla., led an Arizona State defense that forced four interceptions from the nation's leading passer in a 30-17 win over Oregon State in Tempe on Saturday night. Nelson collected two interceptions, returning the second one 23 yards for a game-sealing touchdown late in the fourth quarter, while adding five tackles and a fumble recovery on the night. Nelson now has six interceptions on the year, which is tied for fourth in the nation and is the most for a Sun Devil cornerback in a single season since 1987. Also nominated for defensive player of the week honors were linebackers Addison Gilliam of Colorado, Erik Kendricks of UCLA and Justin Sagote of Washington State; and USC safety Dion Bailey. - Pac-12 football

A blocked field goal turned the momentum back on the Sun Devils' side and Robert Nelson sealed it with another big play in the fourth quarter. Next up: A showdown with No. 13 UCLA with the Pac-12 South title on the line. Nelson returned his second interception 23 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter and No. 21 Arizona State maintained control of the Pac-12 South with a 30-17 win over Oregon State on Saturday night. ''Everything we've worked for is in the 60 minutes of this next game,'' Arizona State coach Todd Graham said. ''I ain't going to lie to them.''

Arizona State (8-2, 6-1 Pac-12) dominated the first half, going up 20-0 on two touchdown runs by Marion Grice, who became the third Sun Devil to score 20 touchdowns in a season after running for 118 yards.
