Three players worked out for five teams. Brandon Williams, DT (6-foot-1 7/8, 332 pounds) - Williams stood on his combine numbers. He has visited the Cincinnati Bengals, Kansas City Chiefs and St. Louis Rams as a defensive lineman. The Cleveland Browns are checking him out as an offensive lineman. 03/06/2013 - 2013 Missouri Southern Pro Day: Representatives from four NFL teams attended Missouri Southern State's pro day on March 5. Defensive tackle Brandon Williams weighed in at 332 pounds, but stood by his numbers from the NFL Scouting Combine. Due to a slight hamstring pull and unfavorable conditions (temperatures were at 27 degrees outdoors), Williams was held out of the positional workout. 12/10/2012 - Missouri Southern State defensive lineman Brandon Williams and Bloomsburg running back Franklyn Quiteh headline the 2012 AFCA?Division II?Coaches' All-America Team announced today by the American Football Coaches Association. The AFCA has selected an All-America team since 1945 and currently selects teams in all five of its divisions. What makes these teams so special is that they are the only ones chosen exclusively by the men who know the players the best - the coaches themselves.

Williams picked up his third straight AFCA All-America Team honor by finishing third in the nation in forced fumbles with five, and recorded 8.5 sacks and 16.5 tackles for loss. Williams is the third player to earn three straight AFCA Division II All-America honors. Quiteh led the nation in rushing (2,121 yards), touchdowns (24) and rushing yards per game (176.75). He is a finalist for the Harlon Hill Trophy, which is awarded to the most valuable player in Division II. - American Football Coaches Association

12/07/2012 - Missouri Southern senior defensive lineman Brandon Williams has accepted an invitation to participate in the 2013 Senior Bowl, to be held on January 26th at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala. Williams, who was named the Division II National Defensive Player of the Year yesterday by the Beyond Sports Network, is the only Division II player to receive an invite to date to this year's game. He was recently named the Daktronics Central Region Defensive Player of the Year by the sports information directors and was named the MIAA Defensive Player of the Year this year, while also being the only player on defense to be a unanimous selection.

Williams became the all-time sacks leader for the school and finished with 27 in his career at Missouri Southern. He had at least a half sack in all but three games this year and had a tackle for a loss in all but one game. He finished the season second on the team with 68 tackles, 31 solo, including 16.5 for a loss of 58 yards. He had 8.5 sacks for a loss of 39 yards, two pass break ups, eight quarterback hurries, five forced fumbles and one safety on the season and finished third in the MIAA in sacks and tackles for a loss, while ranking second in forced fumbles. - Missouri Southern football

12/07/2012 - Missouri Southern senior defensive lineman Brandon Williams has accepted an invitation to participate in the 2013 Senior Bowl....Williams received invites to other post-season bowls including the BSN Collegiate Showcase, as well as the USA Freedom Bowl in Virginia (formerly the Cactus Bowl). He also received an invite from the the Casino del Sol All-Star game in Tuscon, Arizona, the College Football All-Star Classic presented by Raycom in Montgomery, Alabama and the Texas vs. the Nation game.

"I think a big thanks needs to go out to all of the bowl games for recognizing talent in Brandon like they have," said head coach Daryl Daye. "I'd like to personally thank Phil Savage and the Senior Bowl for not only inviting Brandon, but showing interest in the great players that make up Division II Football and making sure the quality of football at this level isn't overlooked. Williams was a unanimous first-team selection, the only one, while six other Lions earned honorable mention All-MIAA honors.
