03/18/2015 - Temple suspends starting OL, reserve DL after assault charges...Temple suspended two players, including one starter, after their involvement in a fight resulted in aggravated assault charges. Starting offensive lineman Dion Dawkins and defensive lineman Haason Reddick, both 20, surrendered to authorities late Monday and were released on bail. They have a hearing set for March 31. WPVI-TV in Philadelphia is reporting that the victim in the fight, which took place on Jan. 17 at a party in Philadelphia's Northern Liberties section, is a Temple student and suffered a concussion and broken orbital bone.
Temple responded with an official statement: Temple University is aware of allegations of improper conduct by two of its student-athletes at an off-campus location in January. The university has, and will continue, to fully cooperate with the Philadelphia Police Department in its investigation and will take appropriate actions outlined in the Student Conduct Code. The two students have been suspended from football team activities pending further investigation. Dawkins started on the offensive line last season and Reddick played in nine games for the Owls. - Chip Patterson, CBSSports.com
