2008 Season

Has made 36 career appearances and has 17 career starts. In 2008, he played in 10 games with seven starts. Recorded 43 tackles in 2008, including eight for a loss of 59 yards. Eight tackles for loss ranked second on the squad. Ranked second on the team in sacks in 2008 with five for a loss of 47 yards. Eight career sacks are the highest active total on the team.

2007 Season

Davis looked like a seasoned veteran at the right defensive end spot as a sophomore after moving to his new position from linebacker during the spring. He had 65 tackles to rank eighth on the team. He had 41 solos tackles, 10.0 TFL (-53 yards), two interceptions, eight quarterback hurries, four pass breakups, two fumble recoveries and 3.0 sacks (-27). Davis recorded a tackle in all 13 games. - Against Troy, Davis made seven tackles with six solo stops and two tackles for minus-five yards. He also knocked down a pass and registered a quarterback hurry. Davis notched two tackles and two quarterback hurries at Alabama. He had one solo stop on 31 snaps against Kentucky. He played just 34 snaps as the Hogs handled North Texas 66-7. Davis made three tackles, including his first sack (-6) and had one quarterback hurry. He logged two solo tackles with a quarterback hurry in 15 plays against Chattanooga. Davis made six total tackles against Auburn while recording three tackles in 18 snaps at defensive end and three special teams tackles. He recorded his first career interception at Ole Miss when he stepped in front of a Seth Adams' screen pass and returned it 24 yards to set up Arkansas' third touchdown. He also had four tackles with a sack (-15) on just 25 snaps.

Davis started his fourth game of the season vs. FIU and made two tackles, one on special teams. He played 29 snaps and recovered his first fumble and broke up a pass. Davis had seven tackles against South Carolina, including four solo stops and a TFL (-2). He also knocked down a pass. Davis was a force on the Hogs' defensive line at Tennessee with a career-best 12 tackles10 solo. His efforts vs. the Vols earned him Hogwired.com Defensive Player of the Week honors. Davis' play was stellar in a 45-31 win over Mississippi State at War Memorial Stadium. He logged eight total tackles with seven solos, two TFL (-12), a sack (-6), three quarterback hurries and a pass breakup. Davis was all over the field in the Razorbacks' upset of then-No. 1 LSU. He made seven tackles with four solo stops and recorded a TFL (-4). Against Missouri in the Cotton Bowl, he continued his solid play with four solo tackles, his second fumble recovery of the year and his second interception of the season.

2006 Season

He made an impact for the Razorbacks in his freshman season appearing in 13 of 14 games at linebacker and on special teams. He logged time in every game except the season opener against No. 6 USC. He played primarily behind Matt Hewitt at sam linebacker, but saw time at a variety of linebacker positions. He garnered 19 tackles in his rookie season, including 12 solo and seven assisted stops. He also registered 0.5 tackle for loss (-1). He was one of the Razorbacks' most active and effective tacklers on special teams. He earned eight of his 12 tackles on special teams, ranking second on the squad. - The true freshman played 30 snaps after Freddie Fairchild was lost with an ACL tear early in the Utah State game. He made five tackles, including three solo stops and recorded a half tackle for loss (-1) against Utah State in his collegiate debut. He played three snaps at Vanderbilt to spell Weston Dacus at sam. Davis played nine snaps behind Hewitt against Alabama and made three tackles. Two of his three tackles against the Crimson Tide came on special teams. Davis played seven snaps on defense at Auburn and on special teams, but did not record a tackle. Davis recorded three tackles - two solo - in the Hogs' 63-7 win over Southeast Missouri State. Two of his tackles came on special teams against the Redhawks. Davis played 11 snaps in the Hogs' home win over Ole Miss and assisted on a tackle. He played solely on special teams against Louisiana-Monroe and made two tackles. Davis played but did not record any statistics vs. South Carolina. He made one special teams tackle against No. 13 Tennessee. Davis played but did not record any statistics at Mississippi State or against LSU in Little Rock. He registered one special teams tackle in the SEC Championship game. He also tallied a solo stop against Wisconsin in the Capital One Bowl.

High School

He earned all-state honors as a safety after leading his team with 132 tackles and seven interceptions as a senior for Coach Tim Teykl. He tallied three interceptions in a game against Santa Fe. He missed his entire junior season with a knee injury. He was a starter at defensive back as a sophomore. He was also recruited by Utah, SMU, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, Sam Houston State and Texas State.


Born Feb. 1, 1988, he is the son of Albert and Bridgett Davis. His cousin Michael Lewis is the starting strong safety for the San Francisco 49ers. He played the past five seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles and was teammates with former Razorback All-American offensive tackle Shawn Andrews. Davis is enrolled in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences and is majoring in journalism with an emphasis on advertising and public relations.
