2008 Season

A 2008 Lou Groza Award Finalist, Arauco was a four-time Sun Belt Conference Special Teams Player of the Week . . . 2008 First Team All-Sun Belt Conference selection . . . He made 17-of-20 field goals, which included a school-record 15 in a row . . . He ranked No. 1 in the Sun Belt Conference and No. 12 in the nation in field goals made (1.55 pg), ranked No. 4 in the SBC and tied for No. 35 in nation in scoring . . . Additionally, Arauco ranked No. 2 in the SBC and No. 14 in the nation in scoring by kick . . . He tied his career high with four field goals made in ASU's victory over Texas A&M and made multiple field goals in five games . . . Arauco was 4-of-5 on FG attempts of 40 yards or more . . . He broke the Sun Belt Conference record for points by kicking (17) and extra-points made (11) in ASU's victory over Texas Southern . . . During the season he became ASU's all-time leader and the SBC's second all-time leader in field goals made (44).

2007 Season

Arauco had one of the best seasons in ASU history for a kicker, recording a careerhigh 15 field goals that ranked as the third most in school history and connecting on 34- of-34 extra-point attempts . . . Arauco ranked third in the Sun Belt in scoring (6.6 ppg), third in field goals made (1.3 per game) and first in PAT kicking percentage (1.000) . . . Also ranked tied for 46th in the nation in field goals made . . . Kicked a career-best 45-yard field goal against Texas and made three field goals from at least 40 yards out . . . Made four field goals from 32 yards or more . . . After two seasons, he is already tied for the sixth most field goals made (27) in school history.

2006 Season

Sporting News Honorable Mention Freshman All-American Team . . . Ranked second in the nation in field goals made among all freshmen kickers . . . Arauco tied the ASU school record for consecutive field goals made with 10 and finished the year hitting 12-of-16 attempts for a .750 percentage . . . Arauco recorded a career-best 38 yard field goal in ASU's last game, but five of his field goals were from at least 33 yards out . . . He made a season-high three field goals in ASU's victory over Troy and made multiple field goals in three games . . . Among the Sun Belt Conference's elite kickers as just a freshman, Arauco ranked second in the league in field goals made, third in field goal percentage, fourth in scoring (by kick) and sixth in scoring among all players . . . 12 field goals made tied the fifth most ever by an ASU player . . . Received the "Most Improved Special Teams Player award at the conclusion of spring practice.

Arauco ended his career as the ASU and Sun Belt Conference all-time leader in field goals made (58) and points by kicking (288). He ranked among the top three players in the Sun Belt Conference in scoring by kick and field goals made in 2009. 12/07/2009 - SUN BELT DEC 7 SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Already the Sun Belt Conference's all-time leader in field goals made with 58, senior kicker Josh Arauco became the league's all-time leader in points by kicking during the final game of his career at Arkansas State. During ASU's 24-20 win over Western Kentucky, Arauco kicked a 27-yard field goal and made all three of his extra-point attempts to finish the game with six points and give him the SBC record with 288 career points.
