2006 Season

Muir started all 12 games for the Golden Flashes, posting 52 tackles, 11 of which were for a loss of yards. He also totaled 5.5 sacks, forced two fumbles and returned an interception for a touchdown. He closed his career playing in 46 games, with 198 tackles, 35 tackles for a loss and 15 sacks. His career sacks total ranks tied for third all-time at Kent State, while he ranks seventh in career tackles for a loss. A year ago, Muir was All-MAC Second Team.

2005 Season

Muir finished the year ranked seventh on the team with 52 total tackles, including 8.5 for losses. He had three sacks, recovered a fumble and was credited with seven quarterback hurries on the season. He matched his career high with eight tackles versus Bowling Green Nov. 5 and was named All-MAC Second Team.

2004 Season

Started all 11 games at defesnive tackle for Kent State … Recorded 48 total tackles, including 18 solo stops, to rank fifth on the team … Matched his career high with eight tackles against both Rutgers and Ohio … Had eight tackles for loss on the year, including 4.5 sacks … Also recorded four quarterback hurries … Made seven tackles in season opener at Iowa Sept. 4.

Started the first 11 games at defensive tackle and then deferred to a senior in the season finale against Buffalo Nov. 24 … Was named Kent State?s Outstanding Defensive Lineman by the coachig staff … Tied for eighth on the team with 46 total tackles, including 12 unassisted … Was the leading tackler among interior linemen … Made a career-high eight tackles against Ball State Oct. 4 … Also had six at Marshall Oct. 11 and five three other times … Was second on the team with 7.5 tackles-for-loss … Blocked a field-goal attempt at Ohio Nov. 8. in an eventual four-point Kent State victory.

2002 Season

Sat out the season due to NCAA initial eligibility guidelines … Was selected as the team?s Outstanding Defensive Scout.

High School

Was named to the all-state first team as a senior at Parkdale High School … Also was voted to the all-county, all-Gazette and Pigskin All-Met teams each of his final two seasons … Made 96 tackles with 13.5 quarterback sacks during his senior campaign … Was credited with 83 tackles and 15 sacks as a junior for the Panthers … Finished second in the state wrestling tournament that same year … Was coached by Mike Rucker.
