Latest News
10/08/2009 - Safety Ryan Downard has been lost for the season after breaking his left arm at practice prior to the Temple game. Downard was fifth on the team in tackles and had one interception.

10/02/2009 - SCOUTING THE DEFENSE: The pressure gets cranked up on the Eagles' defense since the big change on the offensive side will likely mean less production. The work against the pass has been outstanding, since the Eagles lead the nation in defending the pass, but that stat is tweaked a bit since the first opponent was Army, and the Black Knights just don't throw. Temple will give the Eagles plenty of variety, so this game presents a major test. The Eagles meet Temple this week for the fifth time in history, and everyone should expect a shootout. Temple won 28-24 in 1993, then 31-28 in 1996. The Owls were 49-40 winners in 2000, and last year Temple prevailed 55-52. After three games, Eastern Michigan has the No. 1 ranked pass defense in the country, allowing just 78 yards per game.
