04/27/2009 - Akron natives Tyrell Sutton and Bryan Williams, friends since they were children, each signed three-year undrafted contracts with NFL franchises after Sunday's draft conclusion. Sutton signed with the Green Bay Packers and Williams signed with the Browns. Both report to their respective teams Thursday for meetings and then will have practices for rookies on Friday. They share the same agent, Alonzo Shavers. Williams said he received a call from Browns special teams coordinator Brad Seely near the end of the sixth round and the beginning of the seventh round. ''I was stuck on the phone, my words weren't even coming out right,'' said Williams, a Buchtel High School graduate and University of Akron product. ''I was at home watching the draft. Coach Seely said to me, 'We want you to be a Brown, we don't have any more picks, but we want you to be a Brown." - Stephanie Storm, The Akron Beacon Journal
