2006 Season

Finished the season as one of two starting defensive tackles. Slowed early in the season after having his knee scoped. Played in 12 games, making eight starts. Finished with a career-best 25 tackles, including five tackles for loss, eight QB pressures, two sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. 9/4 vs. Florida State: Played as a reserve DT on 17 plays, making one assisted tackle. 9/9 vs. Florida A&M: Played as a reserve DT on 12 plays (no tackles). 9/16 at Louisville: Regained his starting job and saw action on 28 snaps, making two tackles (one solo) and a forced fumble. 9/30 vs. Houston: Started and saw action on 32 plays, making one assisted tackle. 10/7 vs. North Carolina: Started and played on 38 snaps, making five tackles (two solo), including his first two sacks of the season. Also had a fumble recovery. 10/14 vs. Florida International: Started at defensive tackle and played on 32 downs, making one tackle for a loss and one assist. 10/21 at Duke: Did not start but played on 26 snaps, making one solo tackle. 10/28 at Georgia Tech: Did not start but saw action on 21 plays (no tackles). 11/4 vs. Virginia Tech: Started at defensive tackle and played 27 snaps, making seven tackles (four solo), with one tackle for loss. 11/11 at Maryland: Started at left tackle and played nearly all of the game (32 of 37 snaps), registering two tackles (one solo), with one tackle for loss and a QB pressure. 11/18 at Virginia: Started and played 50 snaps, tallying three assisted tackles and one QB pressure. Suffered a lower back injury. 11/23 vs. Boston College: Did not play (back). 12/31 vs. Nevada (MPC Computers Bowl): Started at defensive tackle and made one assisted tackle.

2005 Season

Returned from ACL surgery in seven months and played in the final five games of the season … Registered 10 tackles (six solo), along with two tackles for loss, a 19-yard sack, one QB pressure and one fumble recovery … Suffered the injury the day before the spring game (April 8) and had a remarkable recovery … Sat out the first seven games, then played for the first time at Virginia Tech, making two tackles, one QB pressure and one fumble recovery … Played 43 snaps a week later at Wake Forest, making six tackles (three solo), with two tackles for loss and a 19-yard sack … Played as a reserve vs. Georgia Tech, making one solo tackle … Made one tackle against Virginia … Played as a reserve in the Peach Bowl vs. Louisiana State (no tackles).

2004 Season

Played in 11 games as a backup defensive tackle, missing one with an injury … Recorded 21 tackles (four solo), six tackles for loss, five QB pressures and 2.5 sacks … Made one tackle in his first game for UM in the season opener vs. FSU … Played extensively a week later vs. Louisiana Tech, making five tackles, includig two sacks and one tackle for loss … Made four tackles, a half sack, two QB pressures and one pass breakup at Houston … Made one tackle at Georgia Tech … Missed the Louisville game with a burner … Returned for the NC State game and registered one tackle and one QB pressure … Made one QB pressure a week later at North Carolina … Played as a reserve DT vs. Clemson, making three tackles … Played at Virginia but had no tackles … Made two tackles vs. Wake Forest, including one for loss … Made one tackle vs. Virginia Tech … In the Peach Bowl vs. Florida, registered three assisted tackles, one tackle for loss and one QB pressure.

2003 Season

Sat out the 2003 season as a redshirt, practicing on the scout team.
