2008 Season

Anderson played in all 12 games for the Aggies in 2008 at the wide receiver position. On the season, he tallied 50 catches for 617 yards and nine touchdowns. His nine touchdowns tied him for first on the team. His best game of the season came against New Mexico (9/17) where he caught four passes for 121 yards and two touchdowns. Against UTEP (9/20), Anderson grabbed five passes for 70 yards and season-high three touchdown receptions. His nine receptions against Idaho (10/25) was a season-high. Anderson recorded six games with at least four receptions. Against Hawai'i (11/8) Anderson tallied seven receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown, followed by a seven reception performance against Louisiana Tech (11/22).

Junior College

Anderson played two seasons at Pasadena City College where he was a 2007 all-State wide receiver/returner and a 2006 All-Mission Conference Second Team selection. He caught 84 balls for 846 yards and nine touchdowns in two seasons as a receiver for Lancers. Anderson was excellent returning punts and kickoffs, as he averaged 14.5 yards per punt return with one touchdown and 29.2 yards per kickoff return with two touchdowns. He rushed the ball 10 times in two seasons with the Lancers for 59 yards and two touchdowns. In Anderson's final season at PCC, he caught 40 passes for 480 yards and six touchdowns, all good for second on the team. He was named a second team all-American selction in 2007. In his freshman year, Anderson had 44 receptions for 366 yards (8.3 yards per catch) with three touchdowns. He had a career long kickoff return of 88 yards in 2007, a long punt return of 77 yards and his longest reception went for 86 yards, also in 2007.

High School

Anderson earned first team all-District and first team all-League both his junior and senior seasons. He led the team all-purpose yardage and receiving in both years.

04/08/2010 - PRO DAY RESULTS: New Mexico State's Marcus Anderson (5-9, 173) may not be the biggest player in draft, but he put on a serious show of strength at New Mexico State's pro day on March 29. The wide receiver, who ran the 40 in 4.53 and 4.47, impressed those in attendance by finishing with 27 reps on the bench press. He also had a 38 1/2-inch vertical, 10-8 broad jump, 4.08 short shuttle and a 6.87 three-cone drill. The workout took place outdoors on FieldTurf.
