2009 Season

First-Team All-Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference in 2009 as voted on by the MEAC head football coaches and sports information directors. Bell (6-3, 210) paced the MEAC in total receiving yards (958), receiving yards per game (87.1) and total touchdowns (13). He also led the league with five 100-yard receiving games, and his 213-yard performance against Bethune-Cookman ranks as the ninth-best game in all of Division I FCS this season. He ranks 13th in the nation in receiving yards. Bell caught a TD pass in the final six games of the season and had four games with two touchdowns.

2008 Season

Dismissed from Penn State faces charges including terroristic threats and simple assault, both misdemeanors, after threatening a teammate with a knife Monday night at a team dining facility.

2007 Season

Played two years of football at PSU (2006-07), catching 12 passes for 209 yards.

High School

Bell was ranked the No. 5 wide receiver in the nation by Scout.com. Playing for Coach Dave Hudak, he also was a first-team all-state honoree. Bell caught 32 passes for 340 yards and 12 touchdowns as a senior and had 52 receptions for 700 yards and 12 touchdowns as a junior. Bell was selected a U.S. Army All-American and played in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl with future Nittany Lion teammates Maurice Evans, Jared Odrick and A.J. Wallace.

01/16/2010 - Norfolk State football coach Pete Adrian announced on Thursday that junior wide receiver Chris Bell (Norfolk, Va.) has decided to forgo his senior season of eligibility and declare for the 2010 NFL Draft. "We wish Chris the best of luck with his professional career," Adrian said. "We were happy to have him play here at NSU and we look forward to seeing him succeed at the next level." Bell (6-3, 210) caught 51 passes for 958 yards and 13 touchdowns last season en route to first-team All-MEAC honors. The Penn State transfer led the MEAC and ranked 13th nationally in receiving yards per game (87.1). Bell's 958 yards and 13 touchdowns are the third-best single-season marks in school history.
