Promising 2003 season came to end after just seven games due to a knee injury suffered in the waning minutes vs. West Virginia (10/11) ? Broke preseason camp as one of three starting linebackers ? Registered 37 tackles and 5.5 tackles-for-loss ? Began his career with seven-tackle effort in win over Buffalo (8/30), including 1.5 TFL's ? Had six tackles at Michigan State (9/6) and a key, second-quarter interception ? Tied career high with seven tackles, including two TFL's, at Army on 9/13 ? Did not see game action in 2002 season, but helped prepare the team during game week as a member of the scout team.

One of the top high school players in the state of Florida ? Dominating linebacker who was known as a punishing hitter ? Explosive to the ball ? Rated No. 19 nationally among high school senior linebackers by Student Sports Magazine ? In his three years as a starter at linebacker, Glades Central compiled a 42-1 record and won two Class 3-A State Championships ? Two-time first-team All-State selection ? Led Glades Central to a 15-0 record and the state title as a junior ? The Raiders followed that with 12-1 record and the Region 4 Championship in his senior season ? Rated among the Top 75 Florida seniors by the Jacksonville Times Union and was in the Orlando Sentinel's Top 100 list as well ? Played in the CaliFlorida All-Star game, and the Outback All-Star Game, following his senior season ? As a junior, he recorded 118 tackles and also picked off two passes en route to being named "Defensive Player of the Year" by the Palm Beach Post ? As a senior, he was in on 130 tackles ? Also contributed two interceptions ? All-Region by Prep Star ? An outstanding scholastic wrestler who compiled a 29-1 mark as a junior.
