2006 Season

All-MAC Conference First Team in 2006, Card totaled 90 tackles on the season to rank third among MAC defensive backs. His 56 solo stops led Miami, while his 7.5 tackles per game ranked among the top 15 overall in the MAC. Known for his trademark big hits, Card totaled 10 or more tackles in a game four times in 2006, including career highs of 14 tackles and 11 solo stops in a narrow loss at Western Michigan on Nov. 4. The second-year starter, who was a second-team all-MAC pick last season, picked off two passes during his senior year, along with a team-high 11 pass break-ups, and finished his career with 219 tackles and six interceptions.

2005 Season

Started all 11 games for Miami, ranking second on the team with 67 tackles and earning second-team all-MAC status … also totaled three interceptions on the year to rank second on the team … totaled seven tackles, including five solo stops and two hits for loss in season debut at Ohio State (Sept. 3) … posted big day in loss at Northern Illinois (Oct. 5), totaling a career high14 tackles and a fourth-quarter interception … followed with 11 tackles and a fumble recovery in a defeat of eventual MAC Champion Akron (Oct. 15) … totaled at least five tackles in each of the first seven games of 2005.

2004 Season

Saw action in Miami's first eight games before suffering a hand injury versus UCF on Oct. 23 … totaled 33 tackles, including 21 solo stops, as a special teams performer and free safety … recorded seven solo stops in Sept. 18 defeat of Ohio … made first career start at Marshall (Sept. 29), totaling six tackles and intercepting a key fourth-quarter pass … one of three players to start at free safety for Miami during the season.

2003 Season

Saw action in every game in 2003 … totaled four solo stops and forced a fumble on a kick return in second career game at Northwestern (Sept. 13) … matched career-high with four tackles in defeat of Akron (Oct. 4) … made three stops against Buffalo (Oct. 11) … recorded multiple tackles eight times … notched a career-best five stops and a pass break-up at Ohio (Nov. 22) … had two solo tackles and a pass break-up versus UCF (Nov. 28) … made two hits in MAC title game at Bowling Green (Dec. 4) … recorded at least one tackle in each of the last 10 games of 2003.

2002 Season


High School

Three-year letterwinner as a defensive back and safety at Glenoak H.S. … posted 42 catches for 702 yards and scored 11 touchdowns as a senior … garnered first-team all-conference, all-county and all-district honors in his final season … earned honorable mention all-Ohio status … owns school records for most receptions in a game (9), season (42) and career (80) and holds school career marks of 1,301 yards receiving and 15 touchdowns … team captain as a senior … coached by Jack Rose.
