Overview

Positives … Has a solid linear build with defined upper body muscle tone, tight waist and hips and low body fat … Has a quick get-off out of his stance to gain sudden advantage and shows above average quickness in and out of his routes … Uses effective swim or change of direction moves to avoid the jam … Best on outs, comebacks, stops and double moves … Has very good sideline awareness, getting his feet down in bounds while adjusting to the ball … Does not waste a lot of motion coming out of his breaks … Creates a nice target in the short area and shows decent concentration going for the ball in a crowd, taking a hit and hanging on to the ball … Good on slants and quick screen, as he can instantly turn and run after the catch … Not shy when it comes to blocking, doing a good job of maintaining position when working on the edge … Has explosive jumping ability and will not hesitate to go vertical in order to make the play … Shows a strong arm to throw the option pass … Very quick getting down field as a gunner on special teams … Also holds for placements.

Negatives … While he will use swim moves to avoid the jam, he struggles some vs. press coverage and is better vs. the cushion … Even though he has very good foot speed, he relies on double moves to get deep … Does not do a good job of tracking the ball over his shoulder or head on fade routes … Seems to prefer to cradle and body catch the ball rather than extend away from the frame … There are some rounded cuts in his patterns, but he transitions well on hard cuts … Needs to learn how to set defensive backs up by using leverage and must carry his routes to proper depth better … Drives hard off the line when he gets going, but vs. the press, he will take a false step or two.
