Positives … Has a tall, lean frame with long limbs, good bubble and a linear build with room for additional growth … Consistent run defender who is a secure wrap-up tackler … Has a blue-collar work ethic and shows a good nose for the ball … Quick to break down and react to plays and shows urgency to come up and support vs. the run … Takes good angles and chases hard vs. plays in front of him … Has the body control to sift through traffic and the sudden burst to slip past the blocks … Diagnoses the play properly and reacts quickly to the underneath pass … Effectively wrestles the larger backs to the ground in run support … Has a good feel for routes when working in zone coverage, getting a good jump on the ball … Knows how to keep the plays in front of him and has the short burst to cut off the route.

Negatives … Lacks the power to punish receivers in his area and the quickness to excel in man coverage … Very rigid coming out of his cuts, showing little hip flexibility … Has limited deep coverage skills, as he takes baby steps in his backpedal and the extra steps prevent him from turning and gaining ground quickly … Lacks a punishing jolt on contact and while adequate as a wrap-up tackler, he will give a shoulder and try to arm tackle … Does not have the range to play the deep zone … Too high-cut and stiff in his hips to show a smooth turn in transition … Is best when coming forward, as he does not have the change of direction agility to redirect … Will take false steps in deep zone coverage and also bites on play action.
