Played in all 12 games, starting Games 1-5, and carried 180 times for 691 yards (3.8 avg.), with four TDs … Averaged 57.6 rushing yards per game, 10th in the Mountain West … Also caught 10 passes for 43 yards (4.3 avg.) … At the outset of the season, picked up where he left off at the end of `05, with a pair of 100-yard rushing efforts in Games 1-2, and 73 hard-earned yards in Week 3 … Showed no signs of the knee injury, which robbed him of his `06 campaign, in his first game back, at Colorado (Sept. 1), racking up 135 yards on a career-high 40 carries; capped an important third-quarter drive with a 13-yard TD run … Reached the century mark again vs. No. 10 Cal (Sept. 8), with 102 yards and two touchdowns on 26 attempts; punched in a 3-yard carry with 50 seconds left to pull CSU within one score in a valiant comeback attempt … At Houston (Sept. 22), picked up 6 tough yards on a draw to set up a go-ahead field goal in the fourth quarter … Since shifting from a starter to a reserve prior to Game 6, in seven games averaged 4.6 yards per carry (65-296), with 30 yards vs. Air Force (Oct. 13), 68 significant yards in the win at UNLV (Oct. 20), five totes for 47 yards, including his longest run since the `05 Poinsettia Bowl, 22 yards vs. Utah (Oct. 27), 28 yards on five carries at BYU (Nov. 3), 37 yards at New Mexico (Nov. 10), 56 on 12 carries and one TD vs. Georgia Southern (Nov. 17), and 10 totes for 30 yards vs. Wyoming (Nov. 23) … Prior to the move, in five games as a starter, averaged 3.4 yards per carry (115-395).

2006 Season

Missed entire season after suffering right knee injury days prior to opening game that required surgical repair … named to the all-MWC first team by Athlon Sports and by Lindy's and was named the MWC preseason offensive player of the year by Lindy's … named to The Sporting News preseason all-MWC team and was ranked as the No. 16 running back in the nation … named to the preseason all-MWC team by Blue Ribbon College Football Yearbook.

2005 Season

Rushed 22 times for 122 yards and scored one touchdown in Poinsettia Bowl vs. Navy … named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District First Team and to the Academic All-America Second Team … named to Academic All-Conference team … finished the season with 1,288 yards, most in school history by a sophomore … was second in the Mountain West Conference and 22nd nationally in rushing with 107.6 yards per game … his season rushing total is the fourth highest in school history and the 16th 1,000-yard rushing performance ever at CSU … rushed 24 times for 91 yards and two touchdowns in CSU's win over UNLV … went over 1,000 yards for the season with a 176-yard performance against San Diego State … had 41 yards on 15 carries against TCU … rushed 30 times for 95 yards and one touchdown against New Mexico … carried the ball a career-high 35 times for 123 yards versus Wyoming … rushed nine times for 36 yards at BYU … ran for a game-high 140 yards on 25 carries, including a game-winning 49-yard score against Utah … posted a career-high 197 yards on 32 carries and scored three touchdowns against Air Force … earned first career start and rushed for 183 yards on 33 carries against Nevada … came off the bench to lead the team in rushing with 14 carries for 66 yards at Colorado.

2004 Season

Played in six games at running back … carried the ball 15 times for a career-best 39 yards against UNLV … ranked fourth on the team with 96 rushing yards on the season.

High School

Weld Central: Became the Colorado all-time leading prep rusher in 2003 with 8,248 yards in his career … ranked 13th nationally in all-time rushing yards … posted 2,733 yards on the ground in 2003 and was held below 200 yards just twice during his senior campaign … named MVP of the North team in the Colorado All-State game, gaining 89 yards on 17 carries and scoring a touchdown … four-time team MVP … team captain … named a four-time all-conference and all-state performer and was a state semifinalist for the Wendy's High School Heisman award … ranked first in his class with a 4.15 grade-point average … also competed in basketball, baseball and track and field for Weld Central High School … head football coach was Matt Sloan.
