Overview

Positives … Has a well-developed upper body with muscular arms, chest and shoulders …

Solid short-to-intermediate area receiver with decent straight-line quickness … Does a good job of keeping his feet in-bounds along the sidelines … Sure-handed pass catcher who has a knack for getting open in tight quarters … Uses his body well to shield defenders from the ball … Has small hands, but can pluck and reach to get to the ball at its high point … Holds on to the ball securely before running with it … Maintains concentration on the ball working in a crowd and is not afraid of contact … Attacks the ball correctly with his hands and always seems to be in position to make the catch … Will fight to get in the way of cornerbacks when blocking up field.

Negatives … Has underdeveloped legs and calves, which has led to several leg injuries throughout his career … Seems to favor his left ankle when cutting and running (had pins inserted for over a year) … Has an inconsistent release and does not explode coming off the line … Very slow to break the cushion … Dances too much at the line of scrimmage and struggles to break the jam … Gathers to cut and turns his body wrong, which makes him too tall and erect in his routes and breaks … Needs to improve his awareness when attempting to uncover in the zone … Lacks any run after the catch agility and is more of the type that will catch and fall or get tackled immediately … Has marginal acceleration and no wiggle to elude after the catch.

2004 Season

Earned All-Conference USA and All-Louisiana First Team honors … Fifth player in Tulane history to gain 1,000 receiving yards in a season with 1006 yards on 66 catches (15.2 avg) … Led Tulane with nine touchdown catches and recorded five 100-yard receiving days … Ranked third in Conference USA in receptions and receiving yards per game.

Texas Christian … Began the season with five catches for 110 yards and a 2-yard score.
