Overview

Positives … Tall, mobile passer with a developing frame that can carry additional bulk with no loss in quickness … Effective scrambler who is strong in the pocket and very difficult to bring down … Has the body control to pass while rolling out of the pocket and shows fine quickness driving away from the center … Throws the short passes with touch … Drills the ball in a seam and scans the field to quickly spot his alternate receivers … Can freeze pass rushers with his moves, showing impressive elusiveness … Good ball handler and faker with the ability to make the initial tacklers miss … Holds the ball chest-high and can easily step up and avoid the rush … Has adequate timing and anticipation in the short range passing game … Plays with poise and can read progressions … Good improviser who can make things happen with his feet when the play breaks down … His mobility allows him to buy extra time for his targets to get open.

Negatives … Needs to improve his mechanics, as he has a long delivery … Slow and choppy in his setup, throwing with a hitch from his five-step drop and needs to step into his throws … On deep tosses, he will either bounce the ball to the receiver or make his target work back for the ball … Can slide and buy time with his feet, but looks to run mostly when under pressure … Needs to do a better job of spotting the wide rush and stepping up … Will hurry his passes and put them up for grabs when the pocket collapses and the lanes are not open to run with the ball … Needs to improve his timing routes, as he throws late and lacks velocity and accuracy on the ball.
