Overview

Positives … Superb position finesse-type blocker whose quickness off the snap and trap blocking ability could see him shift inside at the pro level … Comes off the ball decisively, using that quickness to easily gain initial position … Uses his arms well to wall off and is a very aggressive finisher … Has the agility and play anticipation skills to pull and trap … Has the speed to contain linebackers up field … Shows the nimble feet to engage and sustain contact on the move … Keeps his arms extended properly in pass protection and has the mobility and balance to adjust to the edge rush.

Negatives … Not explosive in his blocks, rather preferring to finesse his defender … Needs to be more physical on initial contact … Has problems adjusting to the pass rusher's counter moves … Has to improve his hand punch technique and re-direct better when performing in-line blocking … Can be rocked back by the surge, as he tends to lean into the more physical defenders.
