Played in all 13 games, making nine starts at left defensive tackle … Totaled 35 tackles (10 solo, 25 assisted), with 4.5 tackles for loss, two QB pressures and one sack … Recorded a season-high five tackles at Georgia Tech … Picked up a sack in win against Virginia Tech.

2007 Season

Reserve defensive tackle played in 10 games, making five starts when other linemen were injured. Totaled 25 tackles (15th on the team), with two tackles for loss, six QB pressure and a half sack. 9/1 vs. Marshall: Played as a reserve defensive tackle in the fourth quarter. 9/8 at Oklahoma: Played in the defensive tackle in the fourth quarter, seeing action on 19 plays and making three assisted tackles. 9/15 vs. Florida International: Made the first start of his career at defensive tackle and played 23 snaps, making three assisted tackles and one QB pressure. 9/20 vs. Texas A&M: Saw limited action as a reserve defensive tackle, playing 15 downs and making one assisted tackle. 9/29 vs. Duke: Did not play. 10/6 at North Carolina: Did not play. 10/13 vs. Georgia Tech: Made his second start and saw the most extensive action of his career. Started at defensive tackle and made one solo tackle. 10/20 at Florida State: Played as a reserve defensive tackle, making a career-high nine tackles (four solo), with one tackle for loss and two QQB pressures. 11/3 vs. North Carolina State: Started at defensive tackle and made one solo tackle. 11/10 vs. Virginia: Started at defensive tackle and made two tackles (one solo), with a half tackle for loss. 11/17 at Virginia Tech: Started at defensive tackle and made four tackles (one solo). 12/14/2009 - 2009 ALL-ATLANTIC COAST CONFERENCE HONORABLE MENTION (MEDIA): DT-Joe Joseph, Miami (13), has been selected All-Atlantic Coast Conference Honorable Mention for the 2009 college football season as voted on by the 40 members of the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association. Joseph had his best season as a Hurricane finishing with a career-high 28 tackles. He was the second-leading tackler among defensive lineman and finished as the team's 10th-best tackler with 12 solo and 16 assisted tackles. He also had 5.5 tackles for loss. - Miami football
