Honorable mention All-Conference USA … ranked second on the team in tackles with 77 (6.4 per game) … also tallied two tackles for losses, one sack, two interceptions (for 25 yards), three pass break-ups and a quarterback hurry … tied for 21st in C-USA in interceptions and 23rd in tackles … started all 12 games at Miner back … tied his career-high with 14 tackles at Houston … made 12 stops in the season finale at East Carolina … picked off a pass for 24 yards versus SMU … also had an interception at Louisiana-Lafayette … deflected two passes against UCF … accumulated nine tackles versus Rice, eight at Buffalo and seven against New Mexico State … season-high six solo stops came at Southern Miss, where he was credited with seven takedowns total … registered a five-yard sack versus Texas.

2007 Season

Honorable mention All-Conference USA by the coaches … started all 12 contests at strong safety … ranked third on the team with 90 tackles (62 solo) … also credited with three tackles for losses, two interceptions (21 yards), a fumble recovery and was second on the squad with seven passes deflected … recorded a career-best 14 tackles, including 10 solo, at Texas Tech … came up with 13 stops at Tulane … had six tackles or more in eight of 12 outings … finished the season strong with 36 tackles, including 2.5 for losses, over the final four games … recovered a fumble at Rice … had a 21-yard interception return versus Texas Southern and also picked off a pass against East Carolina … broke up a season-high three passes at Rice … also had two break-ups at Texas Tech.

2006 Season

Compiled 21 tackles, a half-sack (against Memphis) and a pass break-up (versus New Mexico State) in 12 games as a reserve … had a season-best four stops at UAB … contributed three tackles at Tulsa and against Memphis.

High School

First team All-League defensive player as a senior at Rancho Verde High School … put up 106 tackles, three interceptions and a forced fumble in 2004 … honorable mention All-League as a junior, totaling 36 stops and an interception for a touchdown … split time at strong safety, free safety and cornerback during a three-year varsity career … high school coach was Bill Holst … three-year varsity letterwinner in track and field … competed in the 400, triple jump and long jump, as well as the 4x100 and 4x400 relays.
