2009 Season

Did not see any regular season action while recovering from back surgery at the end of the 2008 season … returned to the defensive tackle rotation in the Sun Bowl vs. Stanford and assisted on three tackles.

2008 Season

Played in 11 games, missing two after a sprained left foot suffered against Washington, and the national title game after undergoing back surgery … part of a five-man defensive tackle rotation … was third in the group with 20 tackles … recovered fumbles against Washington and Kansas State. Slipped to the second team after being sidelined by a back injury in preseason camp. Broke left foot in September 2008, chose rehab over surgery.

2007 Season

All-Big 12 second team by the coaches and Rivals and honorable mention by the Associated Press … third on the team with 8.5 tackles for loss … tied career high with five tackles against Miami, Oklahoma State and Missouri in the Big 12 Championship … had two or more tackles in 10 of 13 games played … posted four tackles, two for loss, and a sack against Colorado … registered four tackles, two for loss, three QB hurries and a pass deflection versus Iowa State.

Worked his way in to a steady rotation on the defensive interior … season-high five tackles at Texas A&M.
