2008 Season

Played in nine games at defensive tackle, including starts in the final four contests of the season … missed significant time during the preseason and the first four games due to a foot injury … tallied three tackles in his season debut at Clemson (9/20) … posted three tackles, including a career-best three solo stops, vs. NC State (10/25) … recorded his first career sack when he took down Virginia Tech QB Sean Glennon in the game against the Hokies (11/6), and finished with 2.0 TFLs in that game … made his first career start vs. North Carolina (11/15) … notched four tackles and recorded his first career forced fumble vs. Florida State (11/22) … added three stops at Boston College (11/29) … tallied a career-high five tackles in the win over Nevada (12/30) in the Roady's Humanitarian Bowl.

Played in 10 games as a backup defensive tackle … saw most of his time in goal-line situations … missed three games with a knee injury … (vs. OSU, Emerald Bowl) … posted one tackle in a reserve role … (vs. NCSU) … played but did not record any stats … (vs. FSU) … saw action, mostly in goal-line, but did not record any stats … (vs. BC) … returned from a knee injury, but did not record any stats … in on just two plays … (vs. UNC) … did not play due to injury … (vs. Clemson) … did not play due to injury … (vs. UVA) … missed the game due to injury … (vs. GT) … played but did not record any stats … suffered a knee injury … (vs. Rutgers) … played and recorded one total tackle … (vs. WF) … played but did not record any stats … (vs. WVU) … played but did not record any stats … (vs. FIU) … played and recorded his first career tackle … (vs. Villanova) … played but did not record any stats.

High School

Riverdale High School: A two-year starter who did not take up football his junior year … played defensive end, tight end and offensive tackle in his two seasons … recorded 53 tackles, 16 sacks, 32 quarterback hurries and batted down six passes as a senior … also had 16 receptions and two touchdowns from his tight end position in `04 … an honorable mention All-Independent schools selection … also lettered in basketball where he played power forward, averaging eight points and seven rebounds a game … transferred from DeMatha after his sophomore season … recruited by Illinois, Kent State and Texas Southern … coached by Kervin Wyatt, who was a former Terrapin letterwinner (1976-79) at linebacker and along the offensive line.
