The Cougars surrendered 151 yards on the ground - or an average of 4 yards per rush. Fortunately, Houston will have plenty of time to shore up its run-stoppers for an Air Force team that ranks fourth nationally in rushing.

12/09/2009 - 2009 ALL-CONFERENCE USA SECOND TEAM (COACHES): DB- Brandon Brinkley, Sr., Houston, has been selected Second Team All-Conference USA for the 2009 college football season as voted on by the Conference USA head coaches. Brinkley was named the C-USA Defensive Player of the Week for his two-interception performance in leading the Cougars to a 31-24 win at Mississippi State on Oct. 10. He finished the season with 73 total tackles, 12 pass break ups and four interceptions. - Houston football
