An athletic, fifth-year offensive lineman who has played in 28 career games with 18 starts (left tackle - 3, right guard - 3, right tackle - 12) ... the starting left tackle in 2010 before suffering a season-ending left knee injury ... re-injured the same knee the first week of 2011 spring practice, causing him to miss the first eight games of that season ... after this injury ended up as the starter at right guard in 2011 ... emerged from the spring as No. 1 on the depth chart at right tackle and started the entire season there.

09/20/2010 - Maryland's offensive line took a hit with what could be a major injury to LT Justin Gilbert. He suffered a left knee injury, and said that he heard a pop as he went down. We'll know more this week about his status, but that's never a good sign.
