- With Pachall injury, QB job again is Boykin's...Casey Pachall did not have to return to TCU. After bouncing out of the program last season and entering a treatment program for substance abuse, Pachall could have tried to turn pro. That would have been a challenge, of course, but then so was returning to TCU and trying to quarterback the Horned Frogs again after playing four games last season and then leaving. After an arrest on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, Pachall and the TCU staff determined football was not in his best interest.
Not this season, however. Allowed to return to school for spring classes, Pachall participated in those drills, then competed with Trevone Boykin for the QB job. Named the starter for the first game, Pachall struggled and split time with Boykin. Then, in week two, Pachall fractured his left (non-throwing arm), an injury that will force him to miss eight weeks. - The Sports Xchange
