Led Georgia defensive linemen with 50 tackles while starting all 13 games during the regular season. Second-team All-SEC pick by the coaches and media. He registered two tackles for loss and a fumble recovery to go along with 15 quarterback pressures.

Suspended for the Capitol One bowl game due to academic issues.

"John Jenkins won't be here," head coach Mark Richt said on the school's website. "It's academic related, he will not be at the bowl, and that will be all I'll say about that. ... I think John Jenkins has been awesome for Georgia. I'm really proud of everything he's accomplished for us. Just really want to wish him the very best. He's been a blessing for our program."

Started seven of 14 games he appeared in, registering 28 tackles, 6.0 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks and one interception.
