03/28/2015 - Alabama DB Geno Smith charged with DUI...Alabama senior defensive back Geno Smith was arrested Friday night and charged with driving under the influence, Smith's second DUI charge in three years. Both al.com and the Tuscaloosa News reported the arrest, citing Tuscaloosa County sheriff's Office records. Bond has reportedly been set at $1,000. Smith's previous DUI offense came in August 2013, before his sophomore season. Nick Saban said at the time that the arrest "is obviously not the kind of behavior we expect from our players." An Atlanta native, Smith transitioned from corner to safety entering the 2014 season and appeared in all 14 games for Alabama last fall, finishing fifth on the team with 54 tackles. He has been expected to move into the starting lineup in 2015 following the departures of previous safety starters Landon Collins and Nick Perry. - Jerry Hinnen, CBSSports.com
