- Georgia RB Keith Marshall to 'move on,' test NFL after 2015 season...Keith Marshall has decided to pursue a career in professional football rather than try to return for a fifth year at Georgia, Mark Richt announced on Tuesday. Marshall arrived in Athens as a five-star prospect ranked in the top 15 of the 2012 recruiting class, but injuries over the last three seasons have limited his ability to turn that talent into on-field production for the Bulldogs. "He just wants to move on and take his shot at the NFL," Richt said on Tuesday, via the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Marshall showed signs of promise in his freshman year, totaling 759 rushing yards and eight touchdowns in 14 games of action with one start. But knee injuries and other ailments resulted in just eight games of action from in the 2013 and 2014 seasons combined. Richt said Tuesday that Marshall, a former member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll on track to graduate this year with a degree in Human Development & Family Science, will participate in the team's Senior Day festivities against Georgia Southern on Saturday. - Chip Patterson, CBSSports.com
