Pete Prisco, CBSSports.com Senior Writer - Round 2
No. 33: Patriots select: Ras-I Dowling, CB, Virginia Grade
I love this kid. He is a big, tough corner. Only injuries dropped him out of the first round. Another New England steal.
A
No. 34: Bills select: Aaron Williams, CB, Texas Grade
He is a nice corner, but some think he might have to move inside to safety. The Bills need help at corner, so he gets a chance there first.
B-
No. 35: Bengals select: Andy Dalton, QB, TCU Grade
I love this pick. If Carson Palmer doesn't play, Dalton can. If he does,Dalton sits and learns. Dalton gets it. I love this pick.
A
No. 36: 49ers select: Colin Kaepernick, QB, Nevada Grade
They need a quarterback, but this kid might take some time to get on the field. He is a bit raw. But if they hit, they might get a real steal.
B+
No. 37: Browns select: Jabaal Sheard, DE, Pittsburgh Grade
This is a team going to a 4-3 that needed an end and they landed one. Sheard should be a first-game starter. He has speed teams love.
B
No. 38: Cardinals select: Ryan Williams, RB, Virginia Tech Grade
I had Williams as my top-rated running back. But this pick is more of an indictment of Beanie Wells than anything. He is a home-run threat.
B-
No. 39: Titans select: Akeem Ayers, OLB, UCLA Grade
The Titans have issues at linebacker, so this makes sense. He was a first-round talent on some boards. Solid pick.
B-
No. 40: Cowboys select: Bruce Carter, OLB, North Carolina Grade
When he gets healthy, he will be a dominant player. The Cowboys can afford to be patient with their two outside backers. The knee is the issue. Could be a boom or bust. Hard to grade.
C
No. 41: Redskins select: Jarvis Jenkins, DT, Clemson Grade
He was a tackle at Clemson, but moves to down end for the Redskins. They have to upgrade their defense, so this makes sense after taking Kerrigan. Like it. Don't love it.
C+
No. 42: Texans select: Brooks Reed, OLB, Arizona Grade
I love this pick. This kid is perfect for their 3-4 defense. He will be a lot like Clay Matthews. He is relentless.
A
No. 43: Vikings select: Kyle Rudolph, TE, Notre Dame Grade
This kid will be a nice security blanket for years to come for Christian Ponder. He's a big red-zone target.
B+
No. 44: Lions select: Titus Young, WR, Boise State Grade
Young. If he can stay away from the off-field concerns teams had about him, he will be a lot like DeSean Jackson. There is no doubting his ability. But there is still risk.
B-
No. 45: Broncos select: Rahim Moore, FS, UCLA Grade
I like what John Elway did in making the deal with the 49ers. Moore is a rangy safety, the kind you need in the NFL nowadays.
B+
No. 46: Broncos select: Orlando Franklin, OT, Miami (Fla.) Grade
The Broncos aren't happy with their right tackle situation, and Franklin can come in and take that job. This is a need pick.
B-
No. 47: Rams select: Lance Kendricks, TE, Wisconsin Grade
This is a pick I really like. Kendricks is a pass-catching tight end who will help open up the field for Sam Bradford.
A
No. 48: Raiders select: Stefen Wisniewski, C, Penn State Grade
He can help inside at guard or center. He plays with a mean streak, the way the Raiders like their linemen to play.
B
No. 49: Colts select: Benjamin Ijalana, OG, Villanova Grade
With two picks, the Colts have upgraded their offensive line, which they had to do. This is a player who dominated on the lower level. He has a lot of athletic ability. They did give up a pick to get him.
B-
No. 50: Chargers select: Marcus Gilchrist, CB, Clemson Grade
A.J. Smith gets it. This is a great pick. He can play corner or safety. He's a smart kid and hard worker. Great pick.
A
No. 51: Buccaneers select: Da´Quan Bowers, DE, Clemson Grade
Here's a fantastic pick. He was a top-10 talent. Worth the risk. Mark Dominik strikes again. This could be a huge steal.
A-
No. 52: Giants select: Marvin Austin, DT, North Carolina Grade
Jerry Reese gets two players in the first two rounds who had top-10 talent. Amazing. Austin didn't play last season or he goes higher. Steal.
A
No. 53: Bears select: Stephen Paea, DT, Oregon State Grade
He is a penetrating defensive tackle who fits what the Bears do on defense. He takes over for Tommie Harris. I like it.
B+
No. 54: Eagles select: Jaiquawn Jarrett , FS, Temple Grade
He is a rangy safety who will help in pass coverage. He isn't a great tackler, but that can improve.
B-
No. 55: Chiefs select: Rodney Hudson, C, Florida State Grade
This is a good pick. He is a little light in the ass, but he can gain weight. He will be an athletic center and will start next season.
A
No. 56: Patriots select: Shane Vereen, RB, California Grade
They need an uprade at this spot, but there were better options at back when they made the pick. This is a bit of a reach.
C
No. 57: Lions select: Mikel LeShoure, RB, Illinois Grade
I like the player, but didn't they pick Jahvid Best last season? Do you need another this high?
C-
No. 58: Ravens select: Torrey Smith, WR, Maryland Grade
This is another gem by Ozzie Newsome. He can fly. They need somebody to scare down the field and he can do that.
A+
No. 59: Browns select: Greg Little, WR, North Carolina Grade
He is a raw player who didn't play in 2010 because of dealings with an agent. The Browns need a big-play receiver and this kid has a chance.
C+
No. 60: Texans select: Brandon Harris, CB, Miami (Fla.) Grade
Great pick. They need a corner and this kid has cover skills. I really like what the Texans have done.
A
No. 61: Chargers select: Jonas Mouton, OLB, Michigan Grade
He has speed and athletic ability, but he is way over-drafted here. He's a converted safety who looked like a late-round pick. Strange move.
F
No. 62: Dolphins select: Daniel Thomas, RB, Kansas State Grade
The Dolphins needed a back and this kid has the skills to be a 1,400-yard rusher. I like the move up to go get him.
B+
No. 63: Steelers select: Marcus Gilbert, OT, Florida Grade
This is a need pick, but it's a little high for Gilbert. He was considered a later-round guy. He does have the size to play right tackle in the Steelers' scheme.
C
No. 64: Packers select: Randall Cobb, WR, Kentucky Grade
The Packers get it. This kid is a big-play receiver who can return kicks. The rich get richer.
A
