NFLDraftScout.com provides a positional breakdown of team needs looking at
the 2011 NFL Draft. Free agents listed are those expected to be unrestricted
free agents based on the new rules in the Collective Bargaining Agreement
which allow players with at least six accrued NFL seasons to become UFAs.
The ratings, broken down by position for each team, will be updated
frequently leading up to the draft and beyond. An explanation of what a
rating number represents is listed at the bottom of each page.

2010 is a year the Broncos would love to forget. They lost sackmaster OLB Elvis Dumervil, fired head coach Josh McDaniels, and were embarrassed by division rivals. A new coach first decide what to do with QBs Kyle Orton and TimTebow, figure out whether to sign 32-year-old Champ Bailey, and figure out how to stop the run. The team needs a legitimate receiving TE, and will also have to decide whether to keep RBs Correll Buckhalter and Laurence Maroney (and/or their starting OGs) after the season - the run game has been atrocious.
Kansas City won the AFC West this year because of a good running game, break-out play of WR Dwayne Bowe and TE Tony Moaeki, and a solid defense. ILB Derrick Johnson was signed to an extension, but the team still has several starters coming up for free agency. Secondary depth is also a concern, and the offensive line may also see some changes.
Despite the Raiders going 8-8, 6-0 in their division, there are many questions surrounding the team. A new coach will have to decide what to do at QB, as Jason Campbell and Bruce Gradkowski are not world-beaters. RB Darren McFadden flashed strength and speed everyone knew he had, but his line may be in transition again due to free agenct. The defense played well in spots, but both starting corners are up for free agency and they gave up too many rushing yards when it mattered.
The Chargers couldn't right the ship enough to make the playoffs this year, and nothing gets easier in an off-season likely to see turnover in the roster. QB Phillip Rivers was an MVP candidate for throwing to whatever WRs are available, but he could lose WR Malcom Floyd and Vincent Jackson in free agency. A number of starters in the front seven are also free agents, though GM A.J. Smith has brought in some talent he will hope will be the "next man in".
