A few days after news broke that the No. 2 pick from the 2003 draft, Charles Rogers, had been arrested on several charges (including one in which he allegedly threatened bodily harm on his mother over the matter of $100,000), we have another former first-round pick in trouble.

That's the No. 8 pick from the 2001 draft, David Terrell, who has been charged with domestic battery after he allegedly threatened to throw his former girlfriend off his Chicago apartment balcony, according to the Chicago Tribune. On Saturday, he was ordered held on $10,000 bail.

Terrell, 33, hasn't been in the league since 2005 when he played one game for the Broncos. He had spent the four previous seasons with the Bears, recording 128 career catches, 1,602 yards and nine touchdowns. Obviously, like Rogers, he didn't have great production in his short career for a first-round pick.

Apparently, Terrell and his girlfriend had an argument Friday, and after she left the apartment, she checked into a local hospital where she apparently had bruises on her neck, chest and arms.

Terrell, through his attorney, has denied threatening her life.

“At this point it's just a matter of one step at a time, trying to take care of everything,” Shady Yassin told the paper. “The law affords him the right of being innocent until proven guilty -- and right now he's innocent. The burden is on the state to prove their case against him.”

Terrell's next court date is schedule for April 30.
