If you're Patriots owner Robert Kraft and you want to pick a day to let out a video of you doing an audition tape for pal Ricki Noel Lander, you probably want to choose a spot on the calendar other than the slowest sports day of the year.
Confused? That's cool. Your state of mind before you watch Kraft's video below -- which features the Pats owner using some NSFW language; repeat, NSFW language -- is really irrelevant, since it'll be altered once you're finished. [UPDATE (3:18 p.m. ET): The video has been removed from YouTube due to a copyright claim.]
Here's the gist: Kraft is apparently helping Lander, who he's previously been seen with at a Celtics game, audition for a movie. Some think it's a Vince Vaughn movie. That would explain the dialogue.) In the audition, Kraft's playing an "exec at Yahoo!" who danced for Lander's character at some point and describes "the most embarrassing moment of my life." Oh the irony!
UPDATE (1:58 p.m. ET): The Patriots issued a statement about Kraft's appearance in the movie to Pro Football Talk. Turns out it was a Vince Vaughn movie.
"I tried to help Ricki prepare an audition tape for an upcoming Vince Vaughn/Owen Wilson comedy by reading Wilson's lines," Kraft said in the statement. "I never intended that it would be made public and I regret that it has. I think we can all agree that Owen Wilson has nothing to worry about. I am going to stick to my day job."
Just for the record, if I was a rich, famous billionaire, and I had a friend who was auditioning for a big-time movie, I would read for them too. If only because it would probably help them get the gig.
UPDATE (3 p.m. ET): The video's been removed because of a copyright claim by FOX.
