|This is Josh Gordon. He's now a member of the Browns. (US PRESSWIRE)|
The Browns really want a legit NFL wide receiver. Never mind that they passed on Julio Jones in last year's draft, or loved Kendall Wright so much in April that they sat by while the Titans took him 20th overall. Instead, Cleveland will head into the season with Greg Little and Josh Gordon. The former was taken with one of the picks acquired in the Falcons/Jones trade; the latter was the Browns' 2012 second-round supplemental draft choice Thursday afternoon.
Virtually everyone outside the organization was confused by the decision, one the Browns expect to pay dividends immediately. The problem: there are so many issues plaguing this team that using a second-rounder on wideout that didn't play in 2011 doesn't sound like much of a solution. So, naturally, we talk about it on the latest Pick-6 Podcast.
In happier news, we're also joined by the Lions' Ndamukong Suh, who weighs in on Cliff Avril's contract, Nick Fairley's busy offseason and what we can expect in 2012, a year after Detroit made the playoffs for the first time since 1999 (!).
Finally, we discuss Falcons wide receiver Roddy White and his tweets on Joe Paterno and the Penn State scandal. Short version: sometimes it's okay not to talk. And on that note, chatting starts promptly… (Don't forget, you can subscribe to the podcast via iTunes!)
